The South Sea Pearls Source
In early 2007, along with the development of Alibaba.com, buyers from China began sourcing pearls from Indonesia. At that time, not many Chinese buyers came directly to Indonesia, as their knowledge was limited and they were not fully aware that high-quality saltwater pearls originate from Indonesia.
Through several business partners, Chinese buyers eventually began visiting and purchasing pearls in very large quantities. As a result, China became our first export destination.
Subsequently, we expanded our exports to other countries, including Tahiti and French Polynesia, as well as buyers from the United States. In Europe, we served buyers from the Netherlands and Spain.
Regarding Spanish buyers, we will create a separate page to explain this matter, as there was an unfortunate incident involving fraud that caused losses to me and my company.
We also exported to several other European countries and had buyers from Russia, although in relatively small quantities, typically in small packages ranging from 500 grams to 2,000 grams. In addition, there were buyers from Poland, as well as a limited number of buyers from Japan, as they are also our competitors in auction markets.
Overall, our pearl export activities have been running smoothly, supported by the ease of export regulations provided by the Indonesian government, where the required documentation is not overly complicated.
