About Pearl Certification

The Authority to issue Pearl Certificates

In recent years, the use of pearl certificates issued by individual sellers or stores has become increasingly common. This practice often creates the perception that pearls accompanied by certificates are authentic, while pearls without certificates are not. This perception is misleading.

In principle, the authority to issue pearl certificates lies only with licensed gemological institutions that possess advanced expertise, professional gemologists, and laboratory facilities. Such certifications are generally intended for natural pearls, not for cultured sea pearls that dominate the commercial pearl market.

Certificates issued by individual shops or companies may exist in form; however, they do not carry recognized gemological authority and therefore have no official or scientific strength.

For this reason, our company does not issue pearl certificates. We specialize in large-volume pearl transactions, and it is neither practical nor relevant for each individual pearl to be accompanied by a separate certificate.

We hope this explanation provides a clearer and more accurate understanding of pearl certification and helps prevent misconceptions within the market.
